Preparation Prior to Service

KITCHEN PREPARATION

Empty all kitchen cupboards and drawers of dishes, cutlery, towels, and food items.

Inspect dry food products for infestation; dispose of infested items or freeze for at least one week. These can include pasta, cookies, condiments, rice, flour, pet food, etc.

Reduce clutter as much as possible to clear space for thorough treatment.

Remove all items from kitchen counters and clean them thoroughly with soap and water.

Store all removed items within the kitchen area and cover them with plastic sheets.

Thoroughly clean food storage areas such as pantries and cabinets to remove any potential sources of infestation.

KITCHEN CLEANLINESS

Before the treatment, it's important to clear off and wipe down all countertops thoroughly. Ensuring that these surfaces are clean and free from any debris or food particles helps optimize the effectiveness of the treatment.

PET ITEMS

Cover fish tanks, terrariums, and small animal cages with a clean towel or sheet and air filters must be disconnected.

FRUIT MANAGEMENT

Dispose of any ripe fruits that may be attracting flies. Alternatively, store all fruits in sealed containers or in the refrigerator to minimize the attraction of flies during and after the treatment.

APARTMENTS/SHARED VENTILATION UNITS

Turn off heating/air conditioning systems to prevent circulation to other units in apartments.

Important Steps Following Treatment

Residents and pets should stay out of the treatment area for at least 4-6 hours after the treatment.

If present, cover fish tanks with a towel or blanket. Ensure the cover has been through a dryer cycle.

Once you return to the treated site, open windows for at least 15-minutes to ensure proper ventilation.

DO NOT use other pest control chemicals (powders or sprays) or cleaning products anywhere near spray treatments, as this will decrease effectiveness.

Continue to keep kitchen surfaces clean and free of food debris to prevent future infestations.

People with respiratory challenges (i.e., Allergies, Asthma, Heart Conditions, Pregnant Women, Infants Under 1YR) should stay out of the treatment area for at least 12-24 hours after the treatment.

Ensure all smoke alarms turned back on once necessary.
