Bird Control & Removal

Some birds can cause structural damage to homes and buildings, while others can pose health threats that are associated with their droppings. For instance, woodpeckers are known to peck at buildings, siding, and air conditioners, while soil enriched with starling droppings can lead to diseases like histoplasmosis. These factors make it imperative for pest control and the removal of birds for businesses and homeowners alike.

Pigeons

Pigeons, also known as Rock Doves, are monogamous and lays one to two eggs that hatch within eighteen days. Young are fed “pigeon milk” which is regurgitated food from both males and females. While mating occurs year-round, the peak mating seasons are spring and fall.

Threats

Pigeons are filthy birds, causing damage and diseases. Their droppings are known for triggering human slips and falls, as well as accelerating the aging of structures and statues. This makes it imperative to get rid of pigeons in highly trafficked areas. Moreover, pigeons may carry diseases such as toxoplasmosis, salmonella, food poisoning, and more. Also, their droppings could lead to the growth of fungus, which can cause histoplasmosis. Other pests may live on these birds, such as fleas, lice, mites and ticks. These pests may also infest their nests which makes their removal necessary.
