Preparation Prior to Service

GENERAL CLEANING

Vacuum all carpets, rugs, and upholstery thoroughly to remove any spider webs, egg sacs, or spiders present. Dust and clean corners, baseboards, and ceiling corners where spiders commonly build webs. Remove clutter from floors and storage areas to reduce hiding spots.

STORAGE AREAS

Clear closets, shelves, and storage rooms of unnecessary items to facilitate treatment access. Store clothing, shoes, and personal items in sealed plastic containers where possible.

KITCHEN & FOOD AREAS

Clear countertops of food items, appliances, and utensils to allow thorough treatment. Wipe down and sanitize countertops, especially around sinks and food preparation areas.

YARD & GARDEN

Trim back vegetation and overhanging tree branches near the house to reduce spider access. Clear away leaf litter, mulch, and debris from around the foundation, gardens, and entryways.

EXTERIOR CLEANING

Clean out gutters and remove any debris that may serve as harborage for spiders. Seal cracks, crevices, and gaps around doors, windows, and utility penetrations to prevent spiders from entering. Request Seaside for assistance with this if required.

NOTE

Spiders are mostly seen around light fixtures, window sills, doors, corners of ceilings, garages, and around the perimeter of the building. Check these areas and prep for treatment as needed.

Important Steps Following Treatment

Residents and pets should stay out of the treatment area for at least 4-6 hours after the treatment.

Once you return to the treated site, open windows for at least 15-minutes to ensure proper ventilation.

Clean and sanitize countertops, tables, and other surfaces where food is prepared or consumed.

Dispose of any spider webs or egg sacs found after treatment to prevent re-infestation

Do not use off-the-shelf pest control chemicals or bait stations as they can decrease or eliminate the effectiveness of the treatment.

People with respiratory challenges (i.e., Allergies, Asthma, Heart Conditions, Pregnant Women, Infants Under 1YR) should stay out of the treatment area for at least 12-24 hours after the treatment.
