Preparation Prior to Service
Inspect bedrooms for signs of cockroach activity. Clear closet floors and shelves if infestation is suspected; cover infested items with plastic sheets.
Remove all items from bathroom cabinets, drawers, vanity, and space under the sink. All items should be covered with plastic sheets to prevent cockroaches from spreading.
Empty out washroom cabinets, drawers, vanity, and under-sink areas. Cover all items with plastic sheets to prevent cockroaches from spreading.
Remove any garbage, recycling, or cleaning products from
treatment areas. Ensure clear access around fridge and stove
areas for treatment and pull equipment out if possible.
Ensure access to furnace rooms and any other areas where
cockroaches have been observed or suspected.
The better the access, the better the treatment.
Thoroughly clear and clean all countertop surfaces, shelves,
and inside cupboards and drawers to remove food, grease,
and crumbs.
Cleanliness is vital for cockroach control.
Cover fish tanks, terrariums, and small animal cages with a clean towel or sheet and air filters must be disconnected.
Remove all contents from kitchen cupboards, pantries, and drawers (e.g., food, dishes, glassware). Place removed items away from food preparation areas, ideally away from the kitchen and cover suspected infested items with plastic sheets. Remove any clean oil/fats from cooking, pet food bowls, open dried food containers and packages and vacuum regularly to prevent cockroaches. Seal all food items tightly or store them in sealed containers. Remove and properly cover utensils, dishes, and any open food containers.

Important Steps Following Treatment
Residents and pets should stay out of the treatment area for at least 4-6 hours after the treatment.
Monitor for any remaining cockroach activity and contact Seaside Pest Control if further treatment is needed.
Throw away plastic used for covering infested items, do not re-use.
Once you return to the treated site, open windows for at least 15-minutes to ensure proper ventilation.
People with respiratory challenges (i.e., Allergies, Asthma, Heart Conditions, Pregnant Women, Infants Under 1YR) should stay out of the treatment area for at least 12-24-hours after the treatment.
Clean all exposed counter tops, tabletops, and other food contact surfaces with warm soapy water before re-use. Be sure to wash hands before next task.
Thoroughly clean and dry all areas including under and behind any equipment that was treated. Avoid mopping or wet wiping treated areas; vacuuming is permissible.
DO NOT use other pest control chemicals (powders or sprays) or cleaning products anywhere near spray treatments, as this will decrease effectiveness.
